The school and family connection is stronger at JLSA than any other school. The commitment is on both parts, to collaborate, to communicate, and to support one another. This is a small community and children and families get to know each other closely.
Some specific ways families are invited to get involved with Jordan Lake School of the Arts are:
- Family members are encouraged to participate in art shows, performances and fundraising
- Each family is required to provide 25 school service hours each year
- Mentorship program participation (to our older students) is strongly encouraged by both parents and grandparents
Parent Advisory Committee:
The Parents Advisory Committee serves two year terms with the responsibilities of annual review of policies and procedures, organization of community events and fundraisers, and outreach.
